NAY PYI DAW – In the halls of the Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) in Nay Pyi
Daw, the capital city of the golden land Myanmar (or Burma), MAME CEO Rev.
Robert Thawng Zam and his wife Olivia Zam attend the third State Christmas
celebration on December 18, 2019.
MAME CEO is one of the invited guests from MECA (Myanmar Evangelical Christian
Alliance) to the State Christmas in Nay Pyi Daw. At the entrance of the MCC hall,
MECA leader Rev. Dr. Morris Lianaa and some other church leaders greet MAME
CEO and his wife.
MECA is a very successful state recognized organization which
focuses on helping and making the cohesion of evangelical churches in Myanmar
become stronger. In addition, MECA now has over hundred evangelical churches
which are under their federation and cooperation in Myanmar. Hence, MAME is also
officially in cooperation and a member of MECA since March 2020.
Both MECA and MAME CEO were delighted of the meeting in Nay Pyi Daw. After a
short talk the music started, and the State Christmas celebration officially began.
During celebration MECA leader Rev. Dr. Morris Lianaa held a short speech about
the State Christmas and thus speaking about the Christmas story from the Bible.
Furthermore, Rev. Robert Thawng Zam also met with the current Burmese minister
of Myanmar Religious Affairs and Culture Thura Aung Ko at the State Christmas.
They exchange words about the celebration and religious work in Myanmar.
GOD graciously connects MAME with the leading religious organizations and
MAME together with MECA and leaders of the Myanmar Religious Affairs
and Culture have good plans and objectives to empower all Christian churches in
Myanmar to work together in unity and harmony, so that the good news of the love of
Jesus Christ reaches every person, every family, every village, every city and the
whole country Myanmar.
